A short trip to Pulau Ketam

Pulau Ketam - crab island

A couple of days ago I was out near Port Klang and decided that while I was there I would go for a quick boat ride to Pulau Ketam (crab island).  It is located about 30min by boat from Port Klang and Port Klang is about a 1hr train ride from KL Sentral.  The GPS coordinates for the jetty are N3 01.044 E101 15.171. While I have been to Pulau Ketam several time previously, this was the first time I had been there during the week.  I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of local tourists there during the week and it was very very quiet.  Generally I have traveled there on a weekend and it is quite busy and all the shops are open with many local foods to purchase and eat.  Everything on the island is built completely on stilts and while I have been there several times it has always been at low tide so I am yet to see what the island looks like at high tide. I only spent a short time there during this visit as I was needing to be back in KL but nonetheless I was able to take just a few pics.

All the photos were taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 and the Panasonic 25mm F1.4 lens.  There was just a little contrast/highlight processing and B&W conversion performed on the images very quickly using Apple Aperture.
